Pandora 2.0 for iPhone released

January 6, 2009 · Print This Article

Pandora Radio, the personalized Net radio service, has launched version 2.0 of its app for the iPhone (iTunes link). Known as one of the most popular iPhone apps on the iTunes App Store, Pandora now include artist biographies, previews for your bookmarked songs (yay!) and the ability to create a new station from a song or artist.

Other interesting features include a song progress bar, cover-flow view for song history and the

ability to share stations with friends using mail.

While that update isn’t anything revolutionary, it certainly adds features that round out out cool features in the app, like embedded iTunes purchasing.

However, there is something lost, according to an user: the ability to run this application in the background. Or do you think we don’t need it?
