We have been spending some instance with the FlyCast Mobile Broadcast Network application available in the App Store. that application allows you to have the basic functionality of Satellite Radio without monthly subscriptions.

There are by 1000 digital channels organized by genre with plenty of music types to choose from. With FlyCast you can pause live on all stations, skip songs on positive stations and stream ahead so that you can continue to listen to a station for a period of date even without a connection. A favorite menu allows you to store all of your favorite stations for quick access later.
In
that version of the application they have made FlyCast more efficient with reduced memory usage and faster start-up instance on all stations. Other improvements include better station recovery, and much quicker shut down when calls come in. that application is great for folks with no music on their iPhone. The only thing we would like to have seen is a background feature that does not kill the battery as quickly. But with streaming you can’t have it all. additionally the application eats up your battery much faster than with the iPod application.[Source] Shawn Brown
