Proprietary iPhone Chips Next Year?

It’s widely known that Apple has been planning to design a family of exclusive chips to potential its future iPhone and multi-touch handheld products, though now it seems like such chips may not materialize until sometime next year. Apple is understandably worried that knowledge about its iPhone to leave the company, which is fair, considering the impressive popularity of the iPhone. That being said, it certain pours cold water on any hope that the upcoming iPhone 2009 will have these new chips. From Uberphones.

Sprint HTC Snap

With the recent deluge of iPhone and Palm Pre news, it’s not too surprising that many of you have forgotten about some of the devices from HTC, one of them which is the HTC Snap. It seems that the device will be dubbed the HTC Snap S511, and Sprint is reportedly analyzing the device, indicating that it might be launched by mid-Summer. Of course, there is no confirmation of such a timeline, but keep your fingers crossed, and who knows, perhaps we’ll see the phone released real soon. From Uberphones.

LG BL40 Cellphone To Feature A 345×800 Resolution: Ultra-Wide Anyone?

The LG BL40 cellphone is starting to pop on the radar, but the one feature that citizens are scratching their heads about is that 345×800 display resolution. From a distance, that seems to tip to a wide format, or a weird pixel ratio. We would favor the first option as it could manufacture for an interesting design. What about a thin, high-resolution touch candy-bar phone? Who wants one?
